Just because somebody is short, tall, skinny, or fat is it right to judge them? Well, just take a moment and think about how someone would feel if those rude comments were said to them. Making someone feel out of place or unwelcome is disrespectful. Nobody should ever feel like they need to be perfect for anyone because everybody has flaws.
I have had many personal experiences myself with people pointing out my flaws in my appearance. People have judged me because I am too short, not thin enough, or not up on the latest trend. Being compared to my classmates never made me feel good enough. Instead I was challenged to work harder to please them. After asking myself, “Why do I let this put me down?” I thought about it and decided I do not need to please anyone but myself.
Making someone feel like they are not good enough is not right. People should always be happy with themselves. There is never a reason why anyone should ever feel like they are not good enough. Every person had worth regardless of their appearance. That is why getting judged only by your appearance would make anyone feel out of place and upset. You should always treat others how you would want to be treated.
People do not have a choice in what they look like, they have a choice in how they act. Someone may not have perfect looks or great hair, but they might have a great personality. Beauty is not about the appearance, it’s what is on the inside that makes a person beautiful. If people took the time to get to know those around them, then there would be less time waisted degrading them.
Is it right to judge others by their appearance? Using my own experiences, I know how visual judgement is not always correct. It is not right to make others feel like they do not belong. Getting to know someone first is important. Those are some reasons why I believe that judging someone by their appearance is wrong.
