Many people own dogs today. I believe that everyone should have a dog. I believe that people should own dogs because they give you kindness and love, they protect you, and they teach you responsibility.
Out of the many things dogs offer, one of them is kindness and love. Dogs have been people’s best friends for a long time. Dogs are like people, except they never let you down. If you train your dog and love it and always be there for them, then they will recognize you as their owner, or their parent. If you have had a long and hard, day then it’s relieving to come home to your dog and play with it, or snuggle with it. A time I felt my dog’s love is when I came back from Germany and my dog was so happy to see me. I could see that he missed me. Dogs offer many things but out of all of them this is the best.
Another thing dogs offer is protection. Dogs have saved people many times. I know a few people who wouldn’t be living right now if their Dog hadn’t saved them. A dog saved my friend in Germany. He was walking his dog, and then was attacked by a random guy. His dog bit the guy. The guy got scared and ran off. Dogs can tell when something is fishy or weird I’ve seen many movies where dogs have gone crazy and the owner doesn’t suspect a thing then something bad happens to the owner.
There have been times when my dog suspects something, and I usually listen to him. A time I actually might have been saved by my dog was when this van pulled up by my house and this guy that was in the van kept looking at me through the window. This was starting to freak me out. Merlin (my dog) started barking loudly, which made the guy get back in his van and drive off. I do not know what that guy who was looking at me had in mind, but luckily I didn’t need to find out.
I think people should have a dog because they teach you responsibility. Dogs require lots of responsibility, one is walking it. You need to walk your dog a lot, maybe 5 times a day. That means you need to reschedule your day, which is a hassle. Another thing about having a dog that teaches you responsibility is that you need to feed him so that your dog doesn’t get hungry. You also need to play with your dog so he doesn’t get bored. You need to sacrifice a lot for a dog. This is usually how you gain responsibility from a dog. I need to sacrifice a lot for my dog. For example, I can‘t go directly to my friends house anymore, because I need to walk my dog and play with him a little bit. This is what taught me responsibility.
I believe that everyone should have a dog. Dogs offer kindness and Love, protection and responsibility. I think everyone should have a dog.
