True Happiness

The gem that truly brings me happiness is my mother. She has taken good care of my brother and me for twenty-three years and I am honored to be in her presence. She has a place in my heart that can never be replaced. Whenever she needs anything , she knows I will never say no. I believe true happiness can be found in the ones you love and not in the things you can buy. In this life it is very rare to find true happiness because everywhere you look all you can see is sadness. In addition, I love my bother and believe he is a blessing because each day he inspires me to do better. When we were children, my mother would dress us in identical clothing. Since we were twins, we would dress alike and go everywhere together. My brother and I smiled almost every day but as we got older those smiles turned into responsibility. We work every day to achieve our goals. Through the ups and down, this life has blessed me with things, but things cannot catch you when you fall. I will never forget what makes me truly happy. As the years have passed, I have learned to accept this life for what it is and have learned to accept the man I have become. I do not want much out of this life but getting there will be difficult. I want someone to care for and to grow old with, as well as children to pass my wisdom to. I do not want to be something I am not but something I aspire to be. I am twenty-three years old and I know my life is just beginning but happiness is what I aspire for. I believe happiness is the greatest gift you could have but never forget the people you love are the ones that truly matter the most. Even though I am twenty-three and the world has changed around me, my family brings me true happiness.
