In this world, there are many things to believe in. I happen to passionately believe in sports activities. All throughout my life, sports have guided me to positive results. I feel this way because when I play sports, I feel better and more alive. For example, my first basketball game back from the summer. The crowd was screaming like a freight train. You could also hear the sneakers squeaking against the glassy court. When the game was coming to an end, the other team’s crowd was as silent as night itself. Their team was down by a million points and being beaten to the pulp like an orange. I ended up scoring 28 points and as I walked off the court, I had a huge smile on my face. That’s why I believe in the power of sports activities. Therefore, I strongly believe in sports activities because they help you stay fit and also helps relieves stress.
My first reason why I believe in sports activities is because they help you stay fit. To start it off, staying fit is good for your body. For example, if you exercise, you will build muscle strength. Furthermore, staying fit also helps you live longer. Lastly, staying fit helps you achieve harder goals. For example, if a person couldn’t run a mile under 8 minutes, getting fit would help you run a mile under 8 minutes. In closing, that’s one of my reasons why I believe in sports activities.
To add on to why I believe in sports is because it helps you relieve stress. One way it relieves stress is by releasing endorphins which makes you feel happy and less stressed. To build off, when you exercise, you don’t think about sad things. Like when you’re playing basketball you try thinking about scoring, not about your dog dying. Thirdly, relieving stress is a major preventer of depression. To conclude, I believe in sports activities because it relieves stress drastically.
To wrap it up, I believe in power of sports activities because it helps you stay fit and relieves stress at the same time. When I think of sports activities, I think of the quote by Kiana Tom, “I have my parents to thank for that, they raised me to be active and play all sports. They taught me the importance of staying healthy, being focused and setting goals in whatever I do.” So if everyone in the world did sports activities, not only life would it help improve your abilities, but improve your life.
