I Believe

I believe in stress not getting the best of me. Life is way too short so why waste it being grumpy or sad? Sure, it’s inevitable for life not to go the right way but dwelling on it is just a waste of time. Get what is needed to be done and then ease the mind with something enjoyable.
For me, skateboarding has been my source of entertainment and a great stress reliever. With all the boredom and difficult work that comes with school, nothing frees the mind like a couple hours at the skate park. There is no way to describe the feeling of cruising around with the sound of every passing crack, the wind blowing the shirt around and the sound of metal trucks slapping against the metal coping. At the skate park tons of people get stressed out over not being able to land certain tricks and that just makes the person look childish. So whenever I get frustrated about not landing a trick I stop and take a little break from that trick and come back to it. Skateboarding also helps me realize that something as simple as a piece of wood with wheels on it can keep the mind at a healthy level. Also, skateboarding makes people that aren’t involved in the sport stressed out. For example, the last 3 years I have been skateboarding I have been kicked out of countless store front. I don’t really see why people will let a group of kids skating around their buildings ruin their days.
There is no way to avoid stress in life. No matter what, it will creep around when least expected. There are very easy ways to not let stress into life. I Just relax and breath or maybe do a favorite activity and POOF the stress is all gone! If that doesn’t work then I just think about what the source of the stress is and realize it isn’t that huge of a deal in the grand scheme everything.
I also believe that the whole world would be a much better place to live if people didn’t get stressed out so easily. Imagine a world were people didn’t show their stress and anger. Everyone would have smiles on their faces and people would not look for revenge. Time is the main reason for stress is the society. If everything is planned out before hand and everybody had backup plans then most of the stress in people’s lives would be greatly reduced.
I have never been the kind of person who is constantly late. If I plan my day out, then I have no need to rush places and get in the habit of being late. Every time life throws a curveball at me I pick apart the problem and ask myself “Is it really worth my time?”.
I believe in not letting the stress get the best of me because if everyone thought this way then the world would be a better environment for everyone to live in. Being around people that are stressing out causes other people to stress out and it just goes on and on. Those are the reason why I believe in not letting stress get the best of me.
