I Believe in Hard Work

I believe that hard work leads to success in a person’s life. Hard work is the principle rule that inspires everyone. Hard work leads to success either immediately or in the time to come. Hard work is a lesson everyone should learn in life to succeed.

I learned hard work leads to success, first hand. When I was a freshman, I started playing tennis for the school with no previous experience. I was the absolute worst on the team by far. I couldn’t even hit the ball back over the net. That’s when I decided, I need to practice and get much better. From that’s day on I put my full effort into practice until the season was over. Then I would practice more in the off season. Each year from then on I did the exact same routine. I moved from the worst on the team to the second best on J.V out of thirty two. At this rate of improving I will most likely make varsity as a senior from never playing as a freshman. This proves my point that hardworking allows people to succeed in their goals in life, if they set their mind to it.

Freshman year my dad made a promise to me that if get a GPA of at least a 3.0 then he would pay for half a laptop I wanted to get. In middle school I used to get all C’s and the occasional A and B so that was a high goal for me. I worked hard as I could that semester. I studied every day after school. I got help from my teachers. I did everything I could to achieve what my part of the deal. In the end, I achieved my goal because of all my hard work. My dad held his part of the bargain. I learned that day that hard work leads to great results either immediately or in the future.

Hard work is an important teaching to learn in a person’s life. If shows I’d a person is determined enough to achieve greatness I life. It brings rewards that are only achievable with work. School and tennis are my stories of work in life and they both allow me to achieve greatness in life. Hard work make goals become possible and brings rewards that would never had been possible without it.
