This I believe, Following my heart
Share This Essay:
My strongest belief in life is to follow your heart. It may not always be right, but your heart will enjoy the path. There is a certain feeling to it, indescribable by words. The only way to experience it is to let your heart lead. Others will tell you what to do, you have many choices. I choose to do as they wish, if a request, and to do as I want after. An example of me following my heart is my drawings. I draw what I like to draw, and I’m working on expanding those borders. Some of my friends have asked me what I like to be seen drawn, and if they should only draw those particular things. I tell them, “Draw what you want, but don’t limit yourself.” Art shouldn’t be limited, nor should the trust of you and your heart.
Dreams are images found during sleep, I believe a dream is created from the heart. Emotion is also born within the heart. Dreams are many things, goals, hopes, fantasies, and many others are indescribable. If you work hard on your realistic dreams, eventually, they should come true. This is something for which I cannot do. People do dream, but people also forget, I can never remember dreams when I’m asleep. So I work at dreams that I have made when I’m awake. My heart is one of the most important things to me. I am strong willed; it is vary hard for me to give up on something when I have my mind set on it. But no matter how strong you are, there is the one thing that hurts, and will never change. Life isn’t just a beginning or an end. Every life and heart has a story.
Some of you may not see the heart as much. You don’t care about the feelings around you. Or you see it, but not very much, the heart is just another object of life. I wonder why… Why must humans, why must people fight? We are all the same, the same mind, the same family, the same blood, the same Heart. People made weapons to survive, to hunt animals to stay alive. But now weapons have become worse for that. People build weapons, not to survive of an animal, but to kill another person. More and more wars happen and more and more people die. I have always wondered why we couldn’t get along with our neighbors in China, Russia, and Iraq… We are in different places of the world, but we are still the same. But people’s hearts have turned to the worse. They have turned to the dark, completely blinding them, making them totally oblivious about what they are doing. We don’t see past the stereotypes we place on others, what we name others just because they look different. But, I believe that if we all follow ours hearts, the world may be a better place, we have to pick which path to go down first…
