True Love
Share This Essay:
I know its out there, I’ve seen it, I wish for it, I wait and hope for it. True love is something so magical and heart felt that I cannot wait till I find it or it finds me but I know I must be patient. Although I have never been in love, I have seen it around me, whether it has been on the streets, in a movie or in one of my favorite novels. The first time I have actually witnessed true love was just a couple of months ago when I attended my grandmother’s funeral. While in church sitting in the pews, listening to the pastor say a prayer; I looked to my left at my grandfather; the look on his face moved me so much. My grandfather was just sitting there hunched over, crying, and holding the picture of when he and my grandmother had gotten married. I knew right then that true love exists. The way he held the picture, as if he could go back to that day and re-live it just one more time. Growing up I have always noticed how much they loved each other, they have been through many hard times and stuck with each other through it all. Now that my grandfather has passed away I know believe that they are with each other up in heaven happy, healthy and in love as much as ever. My family has always taught me to love no matter what and even though my parents divorced about 7 years ago they still teach me to always be caring and warm to others. I believe true love exists because even though my parents had gotten divorced they have each found someone new in their lives and it ended up being that there new love is their true love. I hope someday that I have a true love as strong as my grandparents and my own parents.
