Why Should You Care?

I believe in a passive lifestyle.

That’s what I believe in: being passive. Not caring what people think. And not caring about what things you do not care about. The reason I believe in this is because my mother taught me that way. She was younger and in school, she only cared for one thing, getting good grades. And she kept that for the rest of her life. When she had me my brother, and my sister, she cared about us, and dinner.

Being passive doesn’t really mean that person is a wimp. It means they’re the bigger person a lot of the time. When I get made fun of, I shrug it off and keep going on my way. And a lot of the time caring gets kids in a lot of trouble. Such as caring to be the cool kid, or wanting a lot of friends. People just need to be there self. Not another image to go by. My mother taught me that.

The reason my mom believed in a non- caring life is because, she liked it like that. She was the person who never got the best things in life. And she was happy with what she received. She never wanted anything expensive, or nice. She wanted the basics. Things she needed not wanted, so she could get her day over with and be done. Whenever she talked to me about the kids that made fun of her she would always say “Well I’m in a house, I have good food, and I have a nice comfy bed to sleep in. when those snobby brats I grew up with, probably live in a trailer park. What are nice clothes and shoes going to do for you there”?

When I see most kids in school today, most of them are making fun of kids who don’t have the most recent shoes, or clothes. Society is just surrounded by the perfect image. A lot of people want to be the next best thing. And a lot of kids are like to jump on bandwagons so they will be noticed.

My name is Matthew woods. I believe in a passive lifestyle. This life has served me well so far. And nothing bad happened. Just be your own person not anyone else.
