This I believe
I believe that family is the most important thing because sometimes it’s all we have. I believe that family will be there when friends aren’t. I believe that everyone should enjoy the time they spend with their family; even though we would rather go to our room with our dinner and watch the new show that comes on that night. Or prefer to spend the day at the mall with our friends. We should always remember that family should never be taken for granted.
My family reminds me of the complete opposite of the Brady bunch. We have always been loud and outgoing. Five or six cars in the drive way at all times, music, laughter, food and fun; I’d have to say that my house is one of the most outrageous and hectic on the block around the holidays. My parents had us kids when they where young. So in a way they are like one of us. My mom listens to the same music that us kids do. So I guess you could say that she’s hip. As for my dad he grew up in the rock and roll. Age so he’s the only one I know around here that can actually play the electric guitar.
When I was nine I moved from Alaska to Washington. Ever sense than I haven’t been able to see my mom’s side of the family. I find it kind of sad because I’m starting to forget what some of them look like and their personalities. I would regret it more than anything if I don’t get to go back and visit before its too late.
Down south in the after math of Hurricane Katrina, families have been split up, and killed. Every night sense the tragedy I see heart broken southerners asking news stations if someone out there had seen their family or loved ones. Watching this reminds me of how lucky I and how thankful I should be that ever night my family returns back home, alive and well. I have to remember to thank God every night for his blessings, and that I have a family that loves one another and always will
