Best Friends

Best friends know everything about you. When you come to them crying you don’t even need to explain what is wrong because they already know. They don’t judge or ask questions, they just comfort you and always make you feel better.

Best friends see their reflection in the other person and they feed off of each others strengths and weaknesses, combining to make a personality totally unique and perfect in their eyes. I believe that no matter what you are going through, as long as you have your best friend by your side you are armed with everything you need to overcome your obstacles.

I met my best friend Julie when I was in third grade. She moved into the house next door to mine, and we immediately became friends. Over the years our friendship has grown and developed into more of a sisterly relationship. I feel like her family is my family, and she feels the same about mine. There is never anything that I can’t tell her, and no matter what happens or what stupid mistakes I make I know that she will always forgive me and accept me for the person I am. Whether we are having the most fun of our lives or if we’re just sitting around bored out of our minds we always have fun together.

In Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 God says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls for he has no one to help him up.” I believe that this verse summarizes what friendship is all about. The love of a best friend may be considered one of the best things in the world, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
