In a Temple in Jerusalem, people brought gifts to Jesus. Later, Christ explained to His disciples that though the rich gave expensive offerings, it was the gift from a poor widow that touched Him most because she had given all she had. Like the lesson of the widow, Christ’s ultimate sacrifice shows us that faith and unselfishness are two of the most important attributes we can aspire to.
I have learned that whenever I have been able to step out on faith and give from my heart unselfishly, the rewards I received have far exceeded anything I was able to give. It is wonderful that God has provided that giving from the heart with faith is a path to living our best and most rewarding lives.
