This I Believe

I believe in the power of friendship. I believe we can overcome anything with our friendships that we make. Friends make us stronger. I believe that it makes us learn from our mistakes, and also teaches us ways to become a better person. I believe that with friendship, we have the power to accomplish anything.
My friends are everything to me. They change my life everyday. Many of my friends have stuck by me since kindergarten and middle school. I wouldn’t know what I would have done if they wouldn’t have been with me all this time. Without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today. I know that my true friendships that I have are always going to be there for me.
Friends are someone or something that is there for you when you need them, who will listen to your problems and help you out when you need it. A true friend is someone who likes you for you and won’t judge you. Friendship is a bond that you have with a person. If one of the friends that I have now weren’t friends with me, I would have missed out on the laughs that we shared and those memorable moments that we had. One friend can make that big of difference.
In most cases, I would put my friends before myself. Without these people, I wouldn’t be able to look forward to getting up in the morning. They support me with the decisions I make, and if they don’t agree with me, they will tell me why and help me understand things more clearly. I know I can depend on them for almost anything. Friends understand what I have to go through because they are there with me and know how tough a teenage life can get. My true friends will stay with me and not stab me in the back, and if they do, then they aren’t a friend.
The problems and decisions that I have had to go through in my fifteen years wouldn’t have worked out if I wouldn’t have had my friends. I have many friends, probably more than most people, but it wouldn’t matter to me if I only had 1 friend that is like all those other friends that I have. Friendship isn’t a popularity contest, it’s a bond you have with someone who makes you happy. And if I only have 1 friend, I would still be just as happy because I will know that I had one person in my life that made me happy and made my life enjoyable.
Friendship has the power to change the world. If everyone would be friends then we wouldn’t have the many problems in our world that we have today, like wars, arguments, and poverty. Friendship can change things all around the world. Most people don’t understand how lucky they are to have a friend. Just one friend can make you enjoy life and feel loved. It isn’t something to take for granted. I believe that if the world had more friendships, we would make a difference, either big or small, and really change how people act.
