I believe in freedom of the press, I believe in the power of the written word.
I believe people of all faiths have the right to worship. I believe people of no faith have the right to be left in peace.
I believe in the power that people have over their government.
I believe we have the right to own a firearm and protect ourselves and our families.
I believe in our right to be protected from our government. I believe in our right to keep private those things we choose to, and not without a full public and fair hearing should our property or possessions be denied.
I believe in the power of the law and the courts. I believe all men have the right to a fair trial by a jury of their peers. I believe no one should ever be held without trial. Cruelty or torture have no place in our society.
I believe in the rights of all people, regardless of race color creede.
I believe in a social safety net.
I believe everyone has the right to marry the one they love, regardless of how any one social group may view that other group. The right to love is universal, as is the right to express that love.
I believe in a just society, and in that belief, I hold the truth to be self evident that all men are created equal.
This I believe.
