My belief is “I know I can”. To be more specific, I think that everything should be tried by myself before I give up. In the past, I was a very timid, introvert and risk-averse girl. If the assignment seems to be a little complex, I would easily give it up at the very beginning. However, my character and value of life was greatly changed due to my elder brother. My brother is a very knowledgeable person. He likes to tell us what he read recently and his opinion on them. One day I mentioned a new fiction book that I wouldn’t read it because some of my friends told me that the book was boring, and I did not interesting in the context of that book. When my brother heard that, he asked me” How do you know that you will not interesting in that book. Have you ever read it?’ His words sober me up. Yes. There were so many times I lost my persistence just because of my fear of dangerous or the effect of others. Actually, when I tried them, I found that they were often not as challenge as I expected. Then, in the following years, I became much braver to face with difficulties and did not let myself greatly affected by others. During my trip to Hainan Island, I was very interesting in the sport of diving and wanted to see the real ocean. While the most challenge thing is that I had to learn how to breathe with my month instead of my nose. After I jumped into the ocean, I was so nervous and even want to give up. However, the coach encouraged me again and again and described the beautiful scene under the ocean to me. Suddenly, I remembered my brothers’ words and said to myself” I know I can”, so after 20 minutes practice, I learned how to breathe with month, and the coach brought me to the deep of the ocean. What’s more, I overcome my fear of height during the rock climbing. I took part in many activities at school and performed on the stage, such as drama, dancing and model shows. Also I became more confident to deal with complex assignments. Gradually I found that I have changed myself from a timid, risk-averse girl to a brave, risk adventurer. Try yourself because no one can replace you. This optimistic and ambitious mind helps me to open my mind, board y vision, being more creative and ready to accept tough assignments. Also I become more outgoing, confident, and get more friends.
