I believe… in love at first sight, no I believe in high school love, sweaty hand holding, and sweet lingering kisses in the hallways. Every teenager goes through these experiences. Some high school relationships last, but others just slowly weaken. I remember the moments of boyfriends of three years, high school dances, bonfires for homecoming and getting all dressed up to dance the night away. These are the moments I will remember for a life time. Times of note passing, whispering I love you in each others ear; it’s just what happens in high school. I’m a great example of all these descriptions. I have had two very long and committed relationships during my four years of high school, and I would have to say they were the best moments of my high school years. I believe in cuddling under a blanket on cold nights at school football games, to show that high school love is true. Puppy love is what most people call it, but I believe its just love. I remember the days of writing notes during class and writing all the sweet things I feel about the person I loved in high school. I remember the feeling I use to get when I saw him walking down the hallway during passing periods. I remember the comfort I felt when I felt his hand tangled in mine. High school love is something very precious in a teenage girl’s life. When a girl’s heart is taken over by high school love they get immense passion for everything they do. When you’re in love it almost seems like you become blind to everything else in your life. All the times of writing notes, meeting in between classes, holding hands in the hallway, whispering sweet nothings in each others ears, dancing the night away at high school dances and holding each other during the cold nights at the high school football games, everything else around you almost becomes non- existent to you and him. Sometimes you have those times that you question what you and he have, but then you remember that the feelings you have developed are completely normal. When you find that these are the moments that matter and you guys become more focused on the other things that mattered before the relationship it almost becomes difficult to add time for one another. You get a job and so does he, which makes it difficult to spend the same amount of time that you guys use to put into your relationship. Times where he buys you two dozen roses to make up for the mistakes he has made to, times where you guys just sit there and hold one another. You put those thoughts of having your heart broken aside and decide to have fun while it lasts. The moments where I wrote love letters, held hands and kissed in the hallways. I believe in high school love, I believe in the memories of high school love.
