What I Believe
I believe that money cannot buy happiness. People think that the more things they buy will make them happy but it’s all temporary. In this century there are many items that people think that supposedly make them happy or because everyone else has it they need it to be happy. It’s all just a state of mind: brand new clothes or new video games will make them happy or so they think. When they receive these things, yes, it will make them happy but only for a short time then they want something else. Pure happiness an only come from love or time with your family, and some people don’t understand how much they love their family until they are gone. The best way to stay happy is to try and keep people around yourself happy not money. All that happens when you use money for happiness is you become very greedy. Now greed only leads to unhappiness. If you ask some other people they will tell you the only way to true happiness is not through things of the world but through God. They will say that in heaven the streets are paved with gold so if you look at it that way money really doesn’t bring happiness. Even if it’s true or not it’s still trying to get a message by saying that even if you buy everything you want or give all you money to charity it will never bring true happiness. In the business world they will say gold is power or money is happiness but really if you look at the rich people they are really lonely and looking for attention. To back that statement up all you have to do is look at celebrities always getting drunk or doing something stupid for attention. All money can get you is fame and loneliness it will never get you permanent happiness. What I believe is that God is the only way to receive permanent happiness and there is really no other way. If you truly believe money an bring you happiness then I pity you and hope someone close to you will sit you down and talk with you and that is what I believe.
