Everyone has fear, No matter what!

Fear: What is fear? I believe that fear is something you don’t want to happen. I believe that everyone has a fear, and even if they say they don’t, they just don’t know what it is yet.

I have heard of some strange fears in my day, such as Anthrophobia. This is the fear of flowers, and it is hard to believe that someone could actually be afraid of something like this because they really can’t hurt you in any way. There is also Arachnophobia which is the fear of spiders; I can see that I have many friends that are scared of arachnids. Ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes, I can also understand because they are scaly and slither.

My fear is death. It’s not the normal fear of simply dying, but the fear of when I do die what happens with my family and friends. How are they going take it? How long will they morn? Will they forget about me? I don’t want them to hurt by my absence. This is the question of my life. I ask myself this question every day.

I believe that fear can be overcome. Some may disagree with me and say there is no cure for a phobia. I believe to overcome a fear you need to encounter it so that you are in charge of the situation. You need to see that it’s not that bad, you need to realize that there is always something that can be worse so don’t be stuck on that one fear your whole life. So to try to overcome my fear, I have been talking to my family and friends about this dilemma. I have been finding out that everyone I have talked to about the fear of death, has this fear of what happens after you’re gone. So if everyone has this fear we all understand how each other feel about the topic of death. It is a scary topic because we don’t know when we will die.

This is what I believe, that everyone has a fear whether they want to admit it or not. They may try to hide their fear, but fear will always find you. I believe that I will be able to overcome my fear in the near future, because I believe I am taking the right steps. This I believe.
