I believe that when you show someone that you have courage in them that they will do better in what ever they are doing. Every time we would run the mile in gym class there was always someone who would be the last one running, they would just end up walking because they do not have the courage to push them selves.

They think to themselves that they cannot go any faster. Every one in the gym is staring at them and making them nervous. If that person out there had a little bit of encouragement from anyone it could make a difference. That person might have more courage in them selves and might push them selves and think hey I know that I can do better, I just needed a little bit of help with it.

I know from my past I have maybe been slower at doing something and I did not want to keep going because I didn’t have faith in my self. I did not think that I could have done something when really I could I just needed someone to tell me that they knew I could. If there is someone nice enough to just give you a little boost of encouragement I you will end up finding yourself succeeding in what ever it is that you are doing. Encouragement to me is like a way of telling someone that they can do it and that you know they can. They just need to hear it from someone other than himself or herself like I needed it.

You might not know how much those few little words of courage can do to someone until you do say it. Then you will see how much better they are and that they are. Those couple of seconds can change a person whole way of thinking about things.

They might feel better about themselves and have the courage to do better because they know that they can do it, and they have others believing that they can do it also. I think that encouragement is one of the biggest things to give. It is also the easiest thing to give. I also believe that it is one of the easiest ways to help another person feel better about them.
