The Things I Believe

There are a lot of things that I believe in. Firstly I believe that school is necessary, no matter how bad it may be. That every class can be passed with an A. You just have to work hard to get it. I believe that everybody should go to college. In today’s job market it is almost a necessity to have a college diploma. Whether you get your two year, four year, masters, or a doctors degree; it does not matter.

I believe that you can not get anywhere in life without hard work. With that I also believe that all hard work pays off. For example our football team this year, nobody believed in us. We spent almost a full year working our tails off to get what we wanted. Against all odds we got to the playoffs.

I believe in the underdog. If it wasn’t for the underdogs we would have no stories, tales of past glories, and history books. Our culture is based on the underdog, starting in the Revolutionary War; we were just a bunch of pilgrims who couldn’t fight a war against the mighty British. The underdog always has to work that much harder to get what they want like George Mason in the NCAA Tournament a few years ago, Our wrestling team against Clear Lake just last year, or the Arizona Cardinals.

I believe that one person can change a life, may it be the life of just one person or the lives of millions. I believe that a smile and a courteous greeting can brighten anybodies day. I believe in opening and holding a door open for somebody. I believe in helping the elderly.

I believe people shouldn’t judge people for the clothes they wear, music they listen to, or the kind of car they drive. I believe that everybody is equal no mater social class or race. I believe that you can’t judge a book by its cover; literally, it may be the best book you’ve ever read. I believe that everybody tries to go to fast; they should slow down and enjoy life because you never know when it may come to an end. I believe that people should sit down and have dinner with their family, they are the most important and supportive people in your life. I believe that everybody needs to give their mothers a hug for all they’ve done for us, they deserve it.

Finally I believe that everybody should sing in the car. It’s where we can be as goofy as we want and nobody will know. Lastly I believe that everybody should be themselves and not worry what people think of them.
