I believe everyone needs hope. Hope to get out of bed in the morning, hope to succeed in life, hope to find your next meal, and hope to be heard. Hope is the desire to carry on and fulfill a purpose. Without hope, we have nothing. I think that hope helps conquer dreams, save lives, and put smiles on faces. I know that hope can get you far, and I know that it can work miracles. I believe that hope is more powerful than I know, or ever will.
I have seen people with absolutely nothing with more hope and confidence then I could ever have living in my wealthy suburban society. Children who didn’t even own an article of clothing telling me they have hope for a better life. Maybe it’s something I couldn’t see it, but I didn’t see hope in the garbage dump in Nicaragua where these kids lived. Hope can be a dangerous thing, and that gives it all the more reason to be hopeful.
