I believe every person should live his or her life to the fullest without feeling regret or remorse. I like to think of my life as the Bob Marley song “Three Little Birds.” When Bob Marley says “don’t worry be happy” it makes me feel as if the stress of schoolwork and athletics go away. I should do what I am told, but I should also think of what I truly think is right.
During a week of a big test or when its time for exams my parents ask me why I am never as stressed out as my friends. I always give them the one word answer. Bob. During midterm week last year I was very stressed out and ended up not making very good grades and then at finals I was very calm and ended up doing a whole lot better. Every person has at least one way of releasing stress. Throughout my life Bob Marley’s music has been my way of feeling joyful. The message he sends is always a happy one. I have never heard a song about complete negativity. If it is about troubles that you are having, he always tells you how to strive through them and overcome. His songs are all about peace in the world. Growing up I had always loved hip-hop, R and B, and Reggae. These three genres are stress free to me. Although I liked hip-hop and R and B when I was younger, you always found Bob Marley and Ziggy Marley at the top of my pile of CDs. Bob Marley is a symbol of happiness. He has inspired many people many different ways.
Since there is hardly any stress in my life at all, I feel very good because I listen to Bob Marley everyday. A stress free life can be the greatest thing a person can find. It makes you love more things around you. Every person has at least one stress free way of living. You will have to search long and wide to find this, but once you do your life will change forever.
If I didn’t have Bob Marley to listen to I would be like any other kid in the world just cramming in study time right before a test. The music soothes me and causes my thoughts to go away and gives the ability to study for anything and succeed in any challenge. Your mental self will expand. Like what Bob Marley once said, “Emancipate yourself from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our mind.”
