I believe that women of all ages, whether it be from 15 to 99, should be required to have a personal examination. I believe this because at age 17, I underwent a laparoscopy to remove (what was thought to be a tumor) along-side my right ovary. Experiencing the numerous tests and scheduling daily appointments with my gynocologist and pediatrician seemed normal to me throughout the two remaining months of my junior year of high-school. I missed out on so much during the summer of 2007 and it realy made me think about the important things in life and not just the fun, materialistic ones. My visit to the gynocologist’s office proved to be a smart one. The possibility of not being able to produce children, and on top of it all, the thought of having cancer made me tremble in my petite 110 lbs. body. I believe that women everywhere should be required to have an examination because, as I know from experience, things can seem normal, but might not be.
