A recently elected candidate has been quoted as saying that the U.S. Constitution is a living and breathing document and therefore should be updated to fit the times. One proposed change would be to elimanate the requirement to be a natural born U.S. citizen. This requirement was put into the for good and solid reasons. The constitution may be be amended but the founder original protections should not be tampered with. To do this would open the door to make wholesale change to suit any politicians “bright” idea of change! We have survived as a nation for 232 years with the constitution in its present form and it should not be changed.
