I believe that there is more than life than just getting a job and owning a house and having a family. Why do I believe this? Because if that is the true point of life then life is pointless, it’s just a circle continued by new generations. I think life should be about doing what you want, not what everyone else wants you to do or to just follow the crowd. And I also believe there is more to learn than what we are taught in school, true knowledge comes from experience. I don’t know for sure what the purpose of life is but I truly believe that there is more too it than what the typical persons life consists of. The main goal in the majority of peoples’ lives is to get money, not to be happy, life ends and you only have one chance to be happy, if money can’t buy you love then money is an irrelevant object in your life. Personally, at this point in my life the thing that makes me happy is being around people with good intentions and who also know how to be happy. Sadly I also cherish the material objects in my life, but like any prosperous philosopher I would like to forget material things and enjoy the simple things in life. But not to any extreme measures, I wouldn’t give up everything I have to go find myself out in the wilderness of Alaska, but I would like to be able to live life not worrying about what I need next or how much money I have. I would rather learn how to live my life happily. I’m not positive what the meaning of life is and I’m not trying to propose a theory on what it is but I find it hard to believe the whole point of life is to get material things, I want there to be more than that in my life. But maybe I am just a daydreaming teen who thinks the world is some magical place but who will someday find out its not. I do believe there is more to life than just getting money, BUT if that is what makes a person happy, then I believe they are truly living life in the best way; being happy.
