Some events that occur during ones life are just destined to happen. We can’t always explain or understand why some of theses events occur, but I believe that everything in life happens for a reason.
When my dad first layed eyes on my mom on the campus of Sam Houston State University he was baffled by her grace and beauty, and he just knew that this was going to be the woman that he was going to marry. When he first tried to talk to her she wouldn’t give him the time of day, but this didn’t discourage him. Every time he would see her on campus he would approach her and ask if she would go on a date with him and ever time she would turn him down. But on one hot and steamy summer day on the campus he asked her out on a date and she said yes. They went on that date and would soon fall in love with each other, and got engaged six months later and would be married a year and a half after they first started dating. I believe my mom finally told my dad yes for a reason.
When my dad first got the job as the Athletic director and head football coach here at Van Vleck High School, I wasn’t too enthused about coming down here and attending the school. I would wonder how I ended up in a small 2A town, but as I got used to the school and the ways of the community I began to like it. He and I would have conversations about how he feels he was destined to be here, that God had sent him here for a reason and as time goes on I’m starting to agree with his theory. I believe in destiny. I believe that he was brought here for a purpose. I believe that every thing happens for a reason.
