This I believe…
It’s silly to think that one of my best friends is a dog. My dog, Armani is one of the most important companion’s that I have. I have had pets before like a goldfish and a turtle but my dog has become more than just an ordinary house pet, he has feelings and emotions and shows me that I shouldn’t trust when people tell me that humans are smarter than animals. I believe in powerful companionship with an animal. Armani gives me unconditional love without asking for anything and always knows how to brighten my day. Even when my day is going horribly wrong, my dog can simple jump on my lap and put his head on my hand and beg for me to pet him which automatically makes me feel better. I believe that there is so much more to him than what people see. He is someone I spend my long summer days with lounging around in my backyard tanning while he happily runs around the grass but making sure that he comes back every couple minutes to give me a big wet kiss. We can take long walks together and he easily can relieve my stress away. Armani has so many amazing qualities to him that I find hard to find in people today. He always listens to me even if he doesn’t understand but what he can understand is my mood I’m in when I’m talking to him. He makes me want to be more caring because of his non-discriminatory love for my family and I. No matter what I look like or smell like he will love me. He lays on my bed or even when I go out for the night he makes sure to wait for me by the stairs just to make sure I got home safely.
I talk about my dog almost everyday, he is so important to me and I feel as I should pass on what he shows me to do everyday. Be loving and accepting no matter what, because he gives me more love and acceptance than anyone I know without question. Even when I yell at him for something he did wrong, I can’t be mad at him for long because I always give into his sad eyes. He forgives me almost immediately and he has shown me to be more forgiving as well. I feel as though Armani has helped me become a better person, I have never devoted so much time and love to someone other than myself and he has taught me that in order to care about someone you have to open up and give some of yourself to them. He appreciates everything we give him and wags his tail happily too. He welcomes strangers with open arms letting them pet him at first and then kissing their hand. He is truly like a person that I am learning from. The relationship with a dog can be powerful which is why I believe that anyone can have a true companionship with an animal.
