This I Believe
Some people believe in miracles. Some believe in best friends, true love, and pain. What I believe in is a higher power. This power is the way, the truth and the light. It created heaven and it created hell. I believe that there is a soul that looks down and watches every single move that we make. This soul sees people sinning on a regular basis, whether they do it knowingly or unknowingly, I believe that I have the chance to repent. I don’t have to live my life knowing that I am full of sin. To be forgiven but not forgotten is what I believe in. There have been times where my family has went through some struggles, and the only thing we could do was to pray and ask for assistance from God. We would sit back and wait for his blessing to get us through another day. The next thing you know, my family was relieved of the dilemma.
I believe that where there is a will, that there is a way. I believe that if I want something bad enough, that I should have faith in God to guide me to it. If I felt that I had a calling from the Lord that he will lead me to the right path with no questions asked. Through trials and tribulations, I can turn to him for answers. Whenever I feel that I cannot make it through something, I think to myself, “Is this meant for me?” Then I ask him for signs to show me the right way if not. One of my favorite quotes from the good book is from Philippians 4:13 which reads, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” For me, this is one of the most reliable scriptures, as well as one of the most affective scriptures. I want to live a life with the least amount of struggle. I want a life where I do not have to worry about whether or not I am going to live to see another day. If there seems to be signs of weaknesses peeking through, all I have to do is have faith in myself as well as the creator that I will get through it. I know that things are not going to be easy in life, but I believe that I have to stay focused and just keep praying that my problems will sooner or later be solved. If I think that I am going to fail in something, then I should just keep doing the same thing and let him work his magic. I believe that if the whole world would just believe in the same thing that it would be a much peaceful world. All of the violence that has occurred may have been limited or not even happened. I believe that if you just believe in God that the world will be a better place.
