I believe in the pursuit of happiness. But being happy isn’t all about smile and laughs. Whether or not you smile doesn’t mean much because inside is what really counts. When life is at a breaking point it seems like the furthest thing from your mind to be happy. However you have to try, I’ve learned it the most confusing way. The person who can still make a difference is me, because I have the most control over myself. Happiness isn’t the easiest thing to get because it’s just a certain kind of happy that you should have. There’s a level where if you pass it just gets annoying. Someone once told me “people who don’t find what their looking for, are just looking for it to hard” It’s the moment you don’t look for happiness when it creeps up on you.
Life isn’t picture perfect but it never stops. And sometimes you have to work harder because life will not wait for you to pick yourself up. The situation is only as good as you make it. I know it sounds easy but you can remember those times when you just hated everyone around you. I remember when I was having a bad today because of a test I failed and my friend wouldn’t stop until she made me laugh. It was good for me because it helped me let go and just not care so much about a technicality and more about the big picture. Everyone has a bad day once in awhile but its how you deal with it that really matters.
By changing someone else’s life it can also bring you some satisfaction. Happiness is different for everyone. For some it really is just smiles, for others it’s more personal. It should just be a way to let yourself be. It should be an out for all those feelings you have inside that you wish you could get rid of. And if the only way to do that is to watch your favorite TV show or just hang out with friends then that’s what you should do. But I think everyone should have a chance at happiness because nothing else can compare.
That’s why I believe in the pursuit of happiness because if everyone was at the same level then all those drama in our individual lives wouldn’t seem so big. It’s all about how you look at it. Don’t think about how bad it all will be but how you could make it better. It’s weird because I hated when adults would say that to me. But it really is true if you try it.
