I believe in chocolate. Lemon Melange. Raspberry Cream. Orange Napoleon. White Almond. They are the events of my life, the box, my mind set, the way I eat them, my response to the world. In the end no matter the flavor, they will all make me smile. I believe that life is like a box of chocolates, no matter what I eat, it will be sweet.
I believe in picking out the worst chocolate possible in the box, getting that horrible look on my face and unable to do anything but swallow it. This is when something happens in my life that I think is this horrible situation, but looking back I realize that this horrible instance is really just a chance to learn about the different flavors in my box. Even if Coconut will never taste good to me, someone else might find it their favorite.
I believe in getting berry filled milk chocolates, my favorite, over and over again. This is like when you get your first kiss and curfew is extended another hour on the same night. Not only are you savoring the moment, but from then on you have a better taste to remember when you get the almond chunk chocolate.
People give little thought to chocolates today, they seem so simple at first. After much thought though I’ve decided that realizing that every chocolate is sweet, is my favorite flavor. I understand now what handing someone a box of chocolates can mean.
