My favorite thing when I was little was to play like I was a princess, and I was going to find my true love. Cinderella, Belle, and Ariel too, and I was going to find my prince too.
One day I was visiting my grandma, I asked her if she thought there was someone out there for everyone. She looked up surprised and said of course, you will see him and you will know, and it will hit you like a rock on the head. I started to believe that everyone had a true love.
I was working at JC Penney and like usual we were busy when it was time for my lunch I was so relieved. While I was working I saw the most handsome man; he was tall, brown short spiky hair, stunning icy blue eyes, a perfect smile. I suddenly got weak in the knees, and my stomach was full of butterflies. He caught my stare and walked over he said “Hey my name is Josh I have never seen you here before.” I looked dumb founded at him; I swear there was some drool coming out of my mouth.
I stumbled with my words and said “Oh, hey my name is Courtnie.” As we were talking a tall blonde Barbie looking girl walked over, she asked if he was ready to go to lunch.
With in the next few weeks Josh and I got to know each other more and more each time we worked. One night it was just us, the Barbie was not working. He came over and asked me for my number, I gave it to him more willing than I should have.
About two weeks later Barbie ended it with Josh, he looked miserable and I felt bad. We talked about our break-ups a lot which then lead us to more texting and talking more than ever. He came over to my house and we hung out with my friends and had so much fun.
Out first official date we got into a serious car accident. I had cuts all over my face, a serious concussion which made me lose a lot of my memory, and my hair got cut in several different lengths from the glass breaking.
While I was getting better Josh came over everyday he was in a lot better shape than I was a few days later he kissed me. The next day we were official, we were together for a year. We did end it eventually, he is my best friend and I still love him, and he still loves me. We both decided that we needed to see the world and what is out there. One day maybe we my true love will come, but for now I believe you can have many true loves, and that is makes us, who we are and who we really want to be with, it shows us who we really want and shapes us for the next one.
