I have always believed that things happen for a reason because I’ve experienced it. My biggest experience with it would have to be when I got in a car crash.
I had this stupid idea in my head that I should hit this bump in the road that everybody knows about and get some air. I ended hitting the bump going about 50 MPH. I got so much air that I landed on the other side of the road and almost had a head-on collision. At the last second, I grabbed the wheel and jerked it to the right so I wouldn’t collide with an oncoming car. My car went up onto the sidewalk and took out three fences before coming to a complete stop when I hit a MPH sign. My face bounced off the steering wheel and Tiffany got some pretty bad whiplash in the passenger seat. Timmy was sitting in the back seat and he got hit in the head by the speakers that were in my back window.
I was trying to figure out what just happened because it happened so fast. I asked if everybody was ok and they said they were fine, they were just a little shaken up. I got out of the car and looked around at the trail of destruction I just made. Timmy and Tiffany started freaking out and they said they were gonna leave before the cops got there. I couldn’t stop them from leaving so they just left me there next to my totaled car and trail of destruction. All the neighbors started to form a crowd around the wreckage. I just remember sitting there by myself, next to my totaled car and just feeling like my life was over.
It all turned around when I got a phone call from my grandpa about 4 or 5 days after my car crash. He said that I was going to be getting a check in the mail for how much my car was worth. I could use this check to buy a new car. So I definitely think that happened for a reason.
Sometimes I think about my old car. I think about all the good times I had in it. It wasn’t much to look at but that car definitely had heart. The front bumper was half tore off and the front windshield was cracked. The seats were torn up and I had to put seat covers on them. The engine squeaked and it only went to fourth gear. That car didn’t have much to offer but I wouldn’t have traded it for any other car. I was really sad when I wrecked it. I tried to get them to repair it instead of getting a new car. The only thing was that my car was 70% totaled. Pretty much everything on the car was totaled besides the interior. I will miss that car but I believe that the wreck happened for a reason.
