I believe that compassion in every area of life is essential. From my experience when people show compassion for me they leave a lasting impression on me to do the same for the next person I meet.
As I go through each day I meet many people who have a multitude of questions this is because I spend so much of my time on a college campus. I am a student worker in the welcome and information center, so I come into contact with new students, community residents both young and old, staff, faculty and at times local politicians. I try to have positive interaction with the people I come in contact with, because I would want to be treated the same way. I find that this policy encourages a positive outlook on life for me and the people that I serve. I believe this practice is a step toward easier relationships for people in general. I urge everyone to give it a try; the effort will not go un-noticed or appreciated.
