Going back to my early childhood I can always remember my mother and father telling my sisters and me to share. Growing up in a less fortunate household did not make it any easier because we had less toys to share. My parents always wanted the best for us kids but they knew they were not capable of that.
I remember this one time when I was about 7 years old, I got this bulldozer for my birthday. At that time I thought it was the best thing in the whole world. I never let it out of my sight, I even think I slept with it the night after I got it. About a week after I got it my dad took me up to the park and I brought it with me to play with in the sand. There was another kid up there playing and he was just sitting in the sand with nothing to play with. After about 10 minutes I got up with my bulldozer and asked him if he wanted to play with me and my bulldozer. From that day on I realized why my mother and father told me that its not a bad thing to share with others because there are others out there that are worse off than what you are.
I believe in sharing and I think that people are not doing enough of this. In the world today people are more worried about their selves then they are about others. When it should be the other way around because if you help someone else out it could make you feel better and make you stop worrying. This is shown in the movie Pay it Forward. In this movie a boy let a homeless man stay at his house and he told him to pay it forward. This is a good example of him sharing and trying to make the world a better place. Also I see sharing as caring and if your not sharing then you obviously don’t care.
Some may ask why should we share, what’s good about sharing, and why should we help someone that lazy? Well there is no straight answer to this but just your own opinion. I see it as if we share with someone, even if it is just a little bit of money or share a piece of mind with them, it will make you yourself feel better. The positive things about sharing is that you not only make yourself feel better but you also make the other person you share with happy. If there was no one sharing in this world then we would not be where we are at today because all nations rely on support (sharing) from other nations. As I said earlier, Sharing is Caring, us Americans should start caring more about others then ourselves then the world would be a much better place.
