I believe that our great nation of America has the best outlines for government in the world. When the outline is followed and each facet of government does its job for the good of the people there is no competition. The American people have more rights granted to them by their government than any other country in the world. America is at a time of great uncertainty, a lagging economy, a quagmire in Iraq, an unpopular president and congress, illegal immigration, and an extremely large national deficit. I firmly believe that America can still repair its reputation, economy, and world stature.
As the past has shown America has survived great catastrophes, World War I, World War II, the Great Depression, the Cold War, and the Persian Gulf War. All of these pivotal events are examples of the American government at high efficiency. During these times great leaders emerged, ideas flourished, and the economy soared to heights never thought achievable. Without the freedoms Americans enjoy, charismatic and knowledgeable leaders couldn’t have risen through the ranks to leadership positions, thoughts would have been suppressed, and the economy controlled by the government for the government.
Recently we find our economy lagging, an unanswerable war in Iraq, and many education problems here at home. I believe that if we pay close attention to our leaders, and those hoping to become future leaders, we can become more informed and make better decisions that would help the country as a whole. By voting, a right many Americans take for granted, we can allow leaders who will listen, care for America’s economy, education, and reputation, ascend to power and lead America forward in a helpful, respectful way. For our country to work to its full potential we must not allow leaders to overstep their authority or ignore basic rights.
In our country’s near future a pivotal time is approaching; a new leader, new ideas, and a new chance for restoring America to its former glory. I believe America can reach its full potential. The stage is being set for America’s turn around. With a free market economy, with free thinkers, and with free voters, I believe that our government only has a matter of time before solutions make their appearance and are accepted. I believe nothing is impossible, if a problem is made by humans it can be solved by humans. I believe as long as America remains “the land of the free, and home of the brave” that the world shall always have an example and leader to follow.
