Skateboarding = Crime ?
Skateboarders always get a bad rap, but maybe rightly so, but on the other hand, maybe its just misunderstanding. When people think of skateboarding its usually associated with the drug abusing teen, long hair, lazy and good for nothing. In my experience of skating for the last 7 years I have only actually witnessed a handful of skaters that actually fit this stereotype. We are viewed as those who don’t like to follow the rules or are told repeatedly to not be at a certain spot or the cops we be called; but we arent going back to the spot for trouble, we go there for the love of our sport. Regaurdless of the consiquiences. Many towns have started opening skateparks for their youth, but park skating is only one element to why skating is fun, you just cant get the same thrill from metal pre-fabricated ramps as you do finding a cool spot in town.
