I Believe
I believe that some of the simpliest questions in life are left unanswered. Doesn’t that bother you? Wouldn’t you think that there was an answer to everything? There are answers to math problems, and science problems, but never any explanations to the things that I would like to know more about. I get frustrated with the fact that I can’t know more about something, not because they don’t have the time to teach me, but simply because there isn’t any answer.
You know how when you converse with someone you’re supposed to look them in the eyes? Well I believe that if you truly did, you would know that it’s impossible. You can only look them in one of their eyes, not both at the same time. So are you being rude? Because according to others it’s polite to look them in both of their eyes.
I often wonder about colors. Like what if I see blue as pink, but you see blue as grey, were never going to know it because thats all we’ve been taught. How do we really know that we all see colors the same? For example, some people are color blind, they see different shades of many assortments of colors. So what about someone who isn’t color blind? Why is it that we assume each of us see colors exactly the same way when simply, they could be looking at a blue which I call pink because we both have been taught and memorized colors the way that we see them.
I believe that it is random to yell “FORE,” when a golf ball is hit towards someone. WHY? I don’t understand. Why cant, “HEADS UP,” be the term that is shouted out? Or why is it that dogs smell funny when they get wet, can you cry underwater? How come hot dogs come in packages of ten but the buns come in packages of eight? Why do we refer to being head over heels when were happy, isn’t that the way we normally are? Why is it that super glue doesn’t stick to the inside of the bottle? Or how come no matter what color bubble bath you use, the bubbles are always going to be white? Why is it when your sleeping it’s called drool but when your awake it’s called spit? I wish someone could tell me why some people tell you to stay a kid for as long as you can, yet the moment you do something immature or childish they tell you to grow up.
I believe that there are so many more questions that I would like to know the answers to but how am I ever going to learn about things if there aren’t answers? I like to learn and question but why can’t I ever learn about the things that get me frustrated and keep me thinking even longer? I believe that we all need things that keep us questioning in life, because after all.. isn’t said that some questions are better left unanswered?
This I believe
