I believe that we the people of the United States need to start taking care of the people of the United States. We try so hard to take care of everyone else, but we forget to take care of each other. Too many people in the United States need our help, yet we overlook them. We have millions of homeless, yet no one to help them. So many people with illnesses, but can’t afford to go to the hospital. Before we spend billions of dollars on war we need to start spending that money on the people.
There are so many things that we need to do for ourselves and others. We need to build more homeless shelters, more low income housings, and set up a universal healthcare. Just imagine a United States if you’re sick you can go straight to a hospital, and get medicine to feel better and not have to worry about a huge bill.
Just think if we had enough homeless shelters to take care of all the homeless. Then we could provide them with an opportunity to start a new life. With more low income housing we could supply our working families that can’t afford expensive rent a quality place to call home.
I remember my first trip to the hospital. I was able to get in, and be treated. I had pneumonia when I was five years old. I was in there for two nights, and three days. I remember going to the hospital with my mom when she was diagnosed with cancer. I remember seeing my mom being taken care of in a hospital. I just want that for everyone when they get sick.
We the people of the United States need to remember that we are the people of the United States. We say we’re the richest nation, well let’s prove that. Let’s start taking care of our people, and start providing this nation with the best we can. That way we can make this nation not only the richest, but the best nation in the world.
