I believe that the human imperative is to treat all other beings as I would like to be treated. If I can do this one thing in every action then my life will have been lived well.
Secondarily, I believe that the earth is a living treasure that must be preserved in order to provide a comfortable place for my children and grandchildren to live and flourish.
Finally, I believe that every action returns to the individual so all of my good deeds will return to me many times and, likewise, my bad deeds and ill will will also return to me many times.
In the end, it is my responsibility to forgive others and to forgive myself when we prove that we are human and are not able to live up to our best intentions.
