I believe in forgiveness. It’s something that is needed in this world. It brings peace, and it encourages people to care, to accept, and to find relief. My cousin, for example, was a heroin addict. He stole, lied and cheated his own family to get high. I swore to myself that I would never forgive him. He was manipulative, and a coward. He couldn’t face up to his mistakes. But then I realized that an addiction was inevitable to avoid. I realized how sorry he was for his sins. My mother explained this to me, and she said my cousin was very sorry about all the pain he caused our family. He eventually got himself help and he his now living a healthy life. I realized that getting help took extreme strength, and i was proud of him. I forgave him.
