I believe that if you are inspired to do something, then you will be doing the best that you can. I remember when I was younger, my parents used to tell me to do everything. They would say clean this; clean that, do your homework, go to bed. It was always them forcing me to do all these menial tasks. I never really like doing anything, I always wanted just to go outside and play with all of my friends, instead of being stuck inside doing chores and schoolwork. But one day, my dad told me a story of his life when he was little. He was the oldest of all 9 of his siblings, and he was the one that had to take care of them all. While my grandparents were at work, he was the one cooking food and taking responsibility for all of the housework. He was basically a super babysitter who did all of this for free. He had to do all of this to take care of his family, all the way until he had escaped from Vietnam to the refugee camps in the Philippines. Even now, his siblings still come to him for advice on life, and thanking him for everything that he did for them when they were kids. After him telling me the story of all the hardships he had went through when he was my age, I know that I am very lucky to be living in America. From then on, I had made up my mind to do everything on my own without being told to do so, if my dad could take care of 8 siblings, then I at least, could do some housework and schoolwork everyday. He inspired me to do my very best in everything, and I believe that everyone should have someone there to inspire him or her. Ever since that, I want to be the one inspiring people, by showing them that with hard work; you can achieve great things in life.
