Hard Work and Dedication
I believe that hard work pays off in the long term. If you work hard at something and really believe that you can do it you will be rewarded for all of your hard work and dedication. A lot of professional athletes don’t have to work too hard because they are naturally gifted at sports. There are also a lot of people that play professional sports that are not naturally gifted at sports, so they have to work extra hard at it. Usually the people who have to work for what they have, appreciate, it more. The people who all have to work for what they have, are much more humble and usually they are nicer to their fans.
Most of the people who work hard are not athletes but normal people like you and me. When I was younger I was not very good at baseball and I was not very coordinated either. I had finally had enough of everyone making fun of me! So one day when I was about twelve years I decided that I loved the game of baseball too much to quit. I was not naturally gifted in sports, so I decided that I would have to work harder and train longer to become better at baseball. My training was intense, it included running, weight lifting, and playing a lot of baseball. It wasn’t immediately that my hard work paid off, but after a few years I consistently got better every year. I had worked very hard and all of my work finally paid off. I was competing and succeeding in the game of baseball.
I was very excited when I entered my freshman year of high school because it was the first year that I could play baseball for a high school baseball team. Last year on the baseball team, I had realized all of my hard work had paid off. I had the second highest batting average on the team. I also had the most doubles, and I was the starting catcher. Even though I had a lot of success on the baseball field last year, I am still working hard because there is always room to improve on whatever you do, and there will always be people competing for my position on the team.
This is what I believe. I believe that hard work pays off in the end. No matter what people say, if you always work hard for your goals there is nothing that can hold you back from reaching your goals. Hard work always pays off in the end!!
