Seeing my grandmother lay in her bed in the nursing home, has showed me how fast a persons life can change. I never thought for a million years that I would be seeing my grandmother like this so soon. Things started happening right after my grandmothers 92nd birthday. At first, we found out that she had a disease called shingles, that older people rarely get so this was very surprising. As time went by, doctors gave our family the notice that she might have parkinson’s disease. Then her mind started going in and out, and she just wasn’t the same person anymore. So she ended up having to go to the hospital, to see if she could be helped, but things just continued to get worse. Now she’s in a nursing home right now, that she will never leave, because she will never get better, and I never thought that this would all be happening so soon. So this has led me to believe that you should always live life to the fullest, because you never know what tommorrow may bring.
