I believe in shadows. Not the absence of light, but the searching of One’s soul for the wonderfully mysterious facets that are rarely illuminated.
Walking in light is safe. We are comforted and avoid obvious dangers. But, when we step into shadows, we must seek with senses that are less developed. We have to trust ourselves utterly, a dauntingly frightening proposition.
If this trust is successful, we have the fantastic opportunity to dis-cover and comprehend the very foundation of who we are. This journey could conceivably involve everything from discomfort and pain to revelation and unfounded joy.
What dwells in shadows is not always dark and diseased. It can be the first step towards monumental enlightenment.
