The moment I became a Republic was the day when my father and uncle got into a heated debate about politics. The debate was about the war in Iraq and father was defending George Bush’s decision about going to war. My uncle trying to make everyone of Bush’s choices about going to war seem unreasonable. My father had an answer for every single attack my uncle threw at Bush, and he countered back saying that the U.S. would be gone if we didn’t strike back against our enemies. My uncle decided to try the anti-war speech against my dad and he decided to show my uncle that everything we fight for is in the constitution: freedom, liberty, the pursuit of happiness. My father was and is the reason why I am a conservative political supporter.
