I believe that life is filled with a set of obligations that we accept or reject. Either we try to meet them or we ignore them. Their existence is beyond our control. G-d places them in our lives for reasons that we do and do not understand. They are there to shape us and direct us towards the life we should lead. I believe that we are defined by our responses. I believe that the positive response to demands of G-d is the religious life of human being. Our world is filled with insisting our rights instead of fulfilling obligations. If we would fulfill our obligations we would not need to insist on our rights. Free Societies developed rights to protect citizens from each other. It is my fervent prayer to the one that we restore a belief in life of obligation.
