think that a big part in facing reality (in General) is having the ability to let our preconceived ideas go.
We need to swallow our pride and practice humility in all that we do.
The ability to step back and re-assess ones position, point of view, and current situation,
Whatever applies to you, and also ask those very hard questions of yourself.
Those questions that most of us dance around or just plain ignore, or hide away from our psyche.
The reality of this world is that the people we love eventually move on to a much better place than this old earth,
They have sown their gardens and the time comes when they will reap what they have sewn, that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Facing reality and realizing that we are after all just mere humans and really, the power is not ours.
The path in life has been laid before us, yes with its many twists and turns,
And yes with many forks and hills and valleys, but we are here to walk it and live it.
We are here to find our way. But if we believe in a higher power,
Then all we need to do is to look to him for direction,
Set our course on his compass.
Reality for me can sometimes be a tough pill to swallow.
But I know that with God, as my nourishment, as my drink of water if you will,
I can swallow it and digest it and yes be a better person for it.
