I believe in staring off into space. I believe in the goodness of doing nothing whatsoever. I believe that those who say, “Time’s a wasting!’” and “Time is money,” are wrong. Time is not money. Time cannot be wasted. Time is just time. It merely goes on. I believe there is value in simply sitting. There is value in thinking and looking and listening. I believe in looking at the grass. I believe in listening to the wind. I believe in looking at the clouds and watching birds. And stars. And, yes, I believe in staring off into space, seeing everything and nothing at all. I believe that I am right in this. And I simply refuse to believe those who would have me feel guilty about it.
