I believe that life is to be fully consumed each day. To me that means that the last drop of wine in the bottle in emptied into the glasses of those sitting around the candle lit table, discussing life and laughing at their own imperfections and mistakes.
I believe that we must not take ourselves too seriously, but that we should take the recurrent tragedies of life very seriously. Yes, there is fun and lightness to life, but there is also inevitable pain. Pain is the result of a liife well lived. It’s the suffering we impose on ourselves that is optional. Suffering results from our interpretation of pain or from our wanting something too much. I believe, we should wear the world like a loose shirt, giving ourselves room to move around in it, flexible in how we approach the world.
I believe there is no one answer to all of life’s questions for any one particular person. Sometimes there are no answers at all, sometimes there are better or worse answers and that is all there is at that time. I believe that we must see the world as it is, love and be loved, and smile, knowing that the pain will come.
