I believe that Christianity is not a religion it is a relationship. In a religion a person must do works to be good, or what think gets them to heaven. In Christianity the work has already been paid for by Jesus Christ who died on the cross, and rose again. Dr. Ergun Caner said, “ In the verse Jesus Wept, it shows that Jesus Christ, 100% man/ 100% God, had empathy, and sympathy for people, and that shows we as Christians that we have a God that is different from all other gods, in that He is powerful, yet personal.” Christianity is thought by many people that it is a religion, because they believe that you have to follow all of these rules to be a Christian. Christianity is far more than following rules it is a relationship with Jesus Christ. I also believe that Christianity is not defined properly today either. A Christian according to the media is a person who attends church, and has morals. A Christian according to God’s infallible word tells us that is a person who admits that they have sinned, believes that Jesus Christ died on the cross, and rose again for everyone, and then chooses them to be their personal savior. Christianity is thought as religion because of the false view of what true Christianity really is, but true Christianity is an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ. Christianity is being free to worship the one who loved us before we were even brought into existence. In Christianity Jesus gives us the freedom to love, and be loved, because He is love. Christianity is a great gift. It is free to whoever will accept it all a person needs to do to get it is believe in Jesus. No religion does that; therefore I believe that Christianity is not a religion.
